Let Go of Fear

I have really come to see and realize just how much fear impacts our lives. As it says in A Course in Miracles, there are really only two places to come from: Love or Fear. When we make choices for ourselves, we are making the choice from either a place of Love or a place of Fear.

What we choose to eat, what we choose to say, who we choose to be, who we choose to be with, what we choose to do, how we choose to do it–all come from either a place of Love or Fear.

Think about this in your own life. When you make choices based on fear such as fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of what others may think, fear of anything, fear of the unknown–you name it–how does it feel? It usually doesn’t feel good, because we know deep down that it is keeping us from something good that we desire in our lives.

Think about moving to a healthier lifestyle which includes eating more greens and vegetables. Many people choose not to because of fear. If we truly had love as the solid basis of our health choices we could not do anything that we know could harm us, or make us sick.

When you are making the choice between a Big Mac or a salad stop and ask yourself, “Am I going to choose love or fear?” The fear of change is very strong in many people, even when we intuitively know that we need to change.

I realize that it can seem much more complicated than a simple Love or Fear choice. When you take the time to really look at what is going on underneath the surface, however, all roads are either coming from Love or coming from Fear. There may be so much debris on the road that we may not be able to see it that simply.

To put it another way; Love equals Trust. Fear equals False Evidence Appearing Real.

At some point in time we just have to let go of our fears and trust in what was, what is and what will be. When we are able to do this consistently, we will be well on our way to a greater degree of health and happiness.
