Some people find it hard to fall asleep and others find it hard to stay asleep. There are certain foods that can help us with getting to sleep and staying asleep. Here are a few that you can incorporate into your evening meal:

  • Walnuts
  • Almonds
  • Lettuce
  • Tuna
  • Chamomile tea
  • Passion-fruit tea
  • Honey
  • Kale
  • Hummus

Sleep Friendly Dinner

This dinner incorporates many of the foods from the list above:

  1. For improved sleep, try salad made with lettuce and kale. Add almonds and/or walnuts and a dressing made with honey.
  2. For protein add a side of tuna.
  3. Drink a calming herbal tea (chamomile or passion-fruit) of your choice.
